Some of the steps are missing words and this book should have been proofread before release. I can go online and pull together some high-rated recipes that also contain helpful information without paying a dime. I prefer books, though, and I have many, many recipe books in my arsenal, but this may be the worst of the lot.Product details

Very good
Good recipes, most very do-able.
I was so happy to see this cookbook about empanadas, I enjoy making them and since my husband is from Puerto Rico, I'll be using this a lot! 😊
What a delicious little book!
It covers all the bases for anyone really wanting to make empanadas. She shows experienced/good/adventurous cooks how to make them from scratch, and she gives plenty of ideas for the shortcut cook. The cooks in a hurry can still whip up empanadas using a variety of ready-to-go ingredients like canned biscuits or pie crust.
In addition, she presents a balanced array of sweet and savory pockets of lusciousness.
The reasons there aren't five stars here is the lack of pictures (cookbooks NEED pictures) and the lack of mentioning lard, an authentic approach. And don't hate. Leaf lard is at least as innocent as the white-stuff-in-a-can option.
